While news of a cancer diagnosis is still devastating, survival rates are improving due to a better understanding of the disease and huge advances in treatment. However, there remains huge variation in survival between cancer types and in different countries around the world. And the UK has some way to go to hit Cancer Research UK’s target of 75% of people surviving cancer for at least 10 years by 2034.
