Maternal mental health

Perinatal and postnatal mental health is still very much a taboo. But with nearly half of maternal mental health problems not picked up by medical staff, and an estimated 20 expectant or new mothers taking their own lives in the UK each year, conversations need to happen early to get people the help they need. What is important is that women nationwide have consistent and easy access to quality care and support during and post-pregnancy
