Apprenticeships are a growing career path in England, and the tide is finally turning as young people across the country begin to realise that university may not always be the best route to gaining qualifications following school. The last 20 years has seen the annual number of people entering apprenticeships swell from under 100,000 to more than half a million – the ambitious targets set by the government and the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy will likely only continue this trend
